Founded more than 20 years ago the Maryland Budgerigar Society (MBS) is a club for those interested in Budgerigars, commonly known as parakeets. The club serves members in the Maryland/Virginia area and is affiliated with the American Budgerigar Society (ABS). Members of MBS are people from all walks of life who enjoying keeping, raising, caring for and budgerigars as show birds or as pets. MBS holds quarterly meetings to share knowledge and to learn about keeping Budgerigars (Budgies). Whether you have a single pet or you are serious budgie exhibitor, this club is for you. Aside from promoting budgie keeping as a hobby, meetings provide an important opportunity for those who love budgies to get together and discuss their passion! Anyone interested in Budgies is welcome at meetings.
