"... Iraqi man stopped a U.N. vehicle outside the headquarters pleading "Save me! Save me!" in Arabic, according to the U.N. The man, apparently unarmed, forced his way into the driver's seat of the stopped vehicle, as an Iraqi guard struggled to pull him out, while an unfazed U.N. inspector watched from the passenger seat. |

This is just about the STUPIDEST goddamn thing I've ever seen on television. Federal tax dollars at work. See is straight from them in Quicktime or Real. |

They were private. He has not destroyed them. If he sells them he is a simple scumbag in a tie. I was no fan of hers, but this has nothing to do with what little emotion I had for her. If he sells them he is beneath contempt. |

Taboo is Evil

What exactly is it, if not taboo, that prevents the concept of birth
control from receiving any mention at all in articles like This glaring taboo is evident in most articles of the sort. Taboo is evil and needs to be broken. The problem is that taboo serves so many established interests. |

| Saddam Hussein is a hypocritical infidel and a crass compliance professional. Now he calls Muslims to jihad. Hey, something wrong with that? There must not be, judging from the lack of attack on that point. Maybe the brush would paint too many others. |

How strange it is that the United States provides 62 percent of global food aid, and yet is the great global obstructionist with respect to family planning and birth control. Here: The Tragedy of The Commons

God the Discrete can be seen, like the wind, in Its effects upon the brains It inhabits. |

God the Omnipresent demands skepticism. Literalism in faith, a favorite of the demagogue, is always unjustified. |

What fraction of the energy drawn from nuclear fuel would it take to get hot wastes off the planet? What fraction of the original fuel mass would require ejection? To what extent can that mass be minimized by other techniques like neutron bombardment, and how much of the energy drawn from the nuclear fuel would it take to accomplish this minimization of hot waste? Assuming that allocating a fraction of nuclear output for removing waste from the planet is feasible, how could that destruction or ejection be accomplished? Rail gun? Coil gun? Rocket? Mass accelerator? Molecular beam? Transmutation? Slingatron? I'm looking for reports of work in the area of removing nuclear wastes from the planet but have not found any to date (save for transmutation which is removal by destruction).

Phoenix can be a little hot for a few months of the year, but yesterday was absolutely gorgeous and today will be, too. Payback is underway.

If life is a gift, would not its purpose be to be enjoyed?

Lord, to the extent you are really there and responsible for my good fortune, thank you so much. Happy Sunday.

Today I will start a page about why I feel the way I do about nuclear power. (Done.)

Whether I enjoy the day is largely up to me. I want to enjoy the day, so I will.

By golly, I will!
