The excitement begins on Friday night, August 29th with a giant pep rally scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the downtown area.  The next day, Saturday, August 30th,  our special pre-game reunion is planned starting at noon at Twelve Oaks.  It will be a time for us to enjoy getting reacquainted and sharing Southeastern memories with our former Lion teammates.  After the reunion, we are invited to spend time visiting with friends and classmates at the Alumni tent and other venues outside Strawberry Stadium.  As a new tradition, early in the afternoon, former players and fans will parade behind the team as they walk from the Student Union to the Stadium prior to their pre-game warm-up.  Then later, just before the game, the former players will form the tunnel for the 2003 version of the Fighting Lions to run through as they take the field.   Please have your game ticket ready to show security as you enter the field.  After the game, we hope you will want to stay for some post game celebrating at one of the many fine Hammond/Ponchatoula area restaurants.  If you plan to stay overnight, make your reservations early.  A list of area hotels and phone numbers provided by the Tangipahoa Parish Convention  & Visitors Bureau is included.  Please mention “SLUFOOTBALL’03” when making your reservations.
