This was the original Roanoker Restaurant on South Jefferson Street. Lunch counter at the front end, bar at the rear and booths on the right. Note the Wurlitzer jukebox.
Later the Roanoker would move to its Salem Ave. location. (1950's)

In 1961, the Roanoker Restaurant left downtown, and moved to its new Towers Shopping Center location, where it would remain for many years.
