Just a sampling of our hunters' recent successes!!

Rio Grande Turkey Hunts

It's that time again, time to talk turkey, and Smoky Hill Outdoor Adventures is sure to be vocal this Spring offering both fully guided and semi-guided Rio hunts at affordable prices!!  Due to our thriving KS turkey populations the 2008 season will run April 11 through May 31!

With exclusive access to over 25,000 acres of PRIVATE Kansas farm ground boasting of large populations of UN-PRESSURED Rio's, our Spring Turkey Hunts are destined to be a S.H.O.A. favorite!  We are confident 2008 will be yet another great success!  Our success rate for 2007 was 46 hunters taking 58 long-beards!!

Many of our whitetail hunters have commented on the outstanding and un-pressured turkey populations they encountered and several have already booked their 2008 Spring Gobbler Hunts!  Best known for our trophy whitetail bucks, our local turkeys are a better kept secret and relatively un-pressured to date!

Immediately preceding and throughout the deer season we regularly witnessed flocks of 50, 100, and 150+ Rio Grande Turkeys from our deer stands, often at distances of less then 25 yards!  We invite you to join us this year and experience yet another quality S.H.O.A. hunt.

Archery Only Hunt Areas

Archery Rio Hunts are rapidly becoming a specialty of Smoky Hill Outdoor Adventures!  We have reserved properties exclusively for our bow hunting enthusiasts and successfully hosted archery pro staffers from Double Bull Blinds!  The properties we have selected for our archery gobbler hunts boast of exceptionally high gobbler concentrations, pre-placed archery blinds, and natural land features conducive to successful shot opportunities!  During 2007 we hosted 8 archers, harvesting 7 long-beards.  Even our unsuccessful archer earned and missed 3 shot opportunities!
