DAVID G NESTOR
Former Bass and Background Vocals
David G Nestor was out Bass Player from 1987 through 2000. Dave owns a studio out in El Cajon where lots of bands have practices: Psychotic Waltz, Teabag, Sprung Monkey, The Infant Addicts (The name of Sprung Monkey prior)- He has recorded in his in house 16-track studio, not only Social Spit's Mysrtic Album, but a LOT of demos for a lot of bands that later did some cool things - Unwritten Law, Sprung Monkey, Hatehead, The Abuse, Pig Iron, Meatwagon (Dave is now a member of Meatwagon), the list goes on. Oh Yes: ILL REPUTE... Last we saw Dave he was setting up his studio with Digital Recording Equipment to augment the 16 track Analogue Tape... And this was tested on a Demo for Sprung Monkey, and Another demo for Meatwagon, that really wasn't a demo, I was testing out the new machine, the new programs, and I was amazed at how exactly like TAPE the Digi-001 Sounded. I recorded Three songs for meatwagon in a live set situation, sounded good.
I left the digital rec ording aspect of that studio in capable hands, and during the 15 or so years Dave was with us, he was not only a good bass player, he was also a good FRIEND.
So, to Dave: Thank you for the time and effort you put into Social Spit especially all the studio time you volunteered for our recordings.
Dave, who was not REALLY part of the punk scene when he joined, is now a big part of it today, putting on shows, the last I heard.
