Unloading
Step 1. Remove the magazine.

Depress the magazine release catch (yellow arrow). While the release
catch is depressed, the magazine can be removed in the reverse motion
as during magazine insertion.
Step 2. Move safety lever to FIRE position.
In preparation of opening the bolt, flip the safety
lever down (green arrow) to the fire position. This will unblock the
charging handle.
Step 3. Pull charging handle.

With one swift motion, pull the charging handle all the way back and
hold. This will eject the cartridge in the chamber if it exists. Hint:
it is easier to get the cartridge to eject if the ejection port is
facing down.
Step 4. Inspect the chamber.

Check that a cartridge is still not in the chamber. The yellow circle
highlights the chamber which should be empty. If a round persists,
either remove the cartridge by hand or repeat step 4. Release the
charging handle when done.
The rifle is now unloaded.
Despite the fact, continue to take precautions as if the
rifle were still loaded.
