| Review: Michael
Rosati's "Pure Love" ... sample track:
"maybe yes" Michael Rosati is a Los Angeles-based guitarist with a long career as a sideman and soloist in all kinds of musical settings. He has a special musical voice, a blend of traditional jazz, rock and blues influences, and an unmistakable romantic lyricism. In his debut CD "Pure Love", Michael's guitar voice is supported by tasty and subtle grooves and a varied palette of instrumental colors and moods. This album is the result of a very happy collaboration of Michael with many of his musical friends and colleagues in Los Angeles. The silky vocal on "Looking for Another Pure Love" is performed by Arnold McCuller, longtime backing vocalist with James Taylor, Phil Collins, Lyle Lovett among many others. The brilliant young jazz saxophonist Jason Weber solos on the abstract "Shooting Star." Drum genius John Ferraro performs a cadence on authentic Scottish field drum on "Redwood Moon." Guest artists include Supertramp bassist Cliff Hugo; Prince alumna Elisa Fiorillo, LA session players Nick Vincent, Judd Miller, Roger Burn, Dino Soldo, Tom Child, Scott Jackson and Richie "Gajate" Garcia. "Pure Love" was produced by Michael and keyboardist/arranger Brad Cole (Phil Collins, Supertramp, Dave Koz, Gino Vannelli, etc.). Listen, enjoy, feel......"Pure Love". |
