On the surface, Walter is a deceptively
simple character. Words commonly used to describe him include gritty,
wise, tough as nails, weathered, cantankerous, and he does present that
way. He also seems to enjoy a lust for life, partaking in a playfully
lecherous give-and-take with Nikita and waxing loquacious about his many
lady-loves.
However, Walter runs deeper than his
voice. He is pragmatic about the limitations in life yet is the only
person able to yell at Operations -- and live. He is realistic about the
unique challenges of surviving Section One, yet at the same time, he still
harbors a romantic’s heart: befriending Birkoff, helping Nikita and Michael
support their relationship, caring for the safety of operatives in the
field, loving all the women he can. |
