"Publishers"
Most postcards that were "printed" by SPH have a note on the bottom back that states that SPH is the postcard publisher. SPH had two different wordings that indicated that they were the publisher as seen below. Sometimes a coypright notice and date was provided immediately below the publisher's line. Some postcards were printed by SPH that do not state the publisher. However, the postcard's overall appearance in other areas, especially the presence of a number in the corner gives great confidence that it was printed by SPH.

Most "SPH" postcards for Middleburg, Virginia, were printed with Bradfield's Drug Store as the "publisher." There should be little doubt that SPH is the printer for these postcards. Postcard 249 is the only Middleburg postcard that has been found where SPH is the printed "publisher." I've been informed that a version of postcard 314 (which is for Strasburg, Virginia) exists that was "published" by Bradfield's Drug Store. I have not personnally seen this postcard as of the last update to this page.

There are three known ostcards for Heathsville, Virginia that were printed with The Echo Publishing, Co. as the "publisher." These are postcard numbers 243, 244, and 252.
