The person holding the Talking Stick is encouraged to speak honestly and from the heart. The listener should listen carefully, without interrupting, judging or practicing a reply.
The intent of the Talking Stick is to communicate and solve problems that occur as result of being human. The more love and respect put into speaking and listening, the more deep will be the understanding. With each understanding the spirit of the Talking Stick will grow.
