Camera Notes

I've used six different cameras for this list.  All six are Canon digital.  The first, which I used until mid January 2004, was the Canon S230.  The second, which I used until mid March 2005 was the Canon S400, the third, which I used until mid-May 2007, was the Canon SD500, the fourth, which I used until late September 2007, was the Canon SD850 IS. I now have the small Canon 870 IS, and the larger Canon G9. I used the 870 IS until April 2008, and now I prefer to use the G9.  I do, however, still use the smaller 870 IS on occasion  The 230 was 3.2 megapixel, the 400 was 4.0 megapixel, the SD500 was 7.1 megapixels, the SD850 IS was 8 megapixel, the SD870 IS  is 8 megapixel, and the G9 is 12.1 megapixel.  I can't remember using the highest resolution.  I normally keep it at least one step below that.
