Power Dive is an interesting coaster design. Running six three-car trains, it has a ride time of 51 seconds. At its designed launch interval, the capacity of the ride is actually limited by the riders, not the ride itself -- the theoretical maximum capacity of the ride is 5400 riders per hour, but depending on how fast the peeps in the line walk (I'm sure you've noticed that the peeps with drinks or the ones feeling a little sick walk slower), the actual throughput you'll see will vary between 5,100 and 4,700 riders per hour once the ride gets into full swing; it's the first ride I've seen where how fast the peeps get into their seats makes a big difference in throughput. And at $3.00 per ride and $2.00 per On-Ride Photo, you can see that this means Power Dive can be a tremendously profitable ride for a park.
