Pixelpushing and Mud MovingButcherbird attack

Notice: This site incorporates neither Java applets nor background music.Too many websites use Java applets to put something flashy up on their pages to disguise the lack of content, and I'm reasonably sure that my taste in music is going to be different from yours; why should I presume to decide what you want to listen to?

If you're looking for a flashy user interface, download the Macromedia Flash 3 plug-in for your browser and go visit Gabocorp Imaging; it makes the Java applets you see on web pages look like the toys they are. If you want background music, surely you have a stereo or a radio, or you have a CD-player application for your computer; play what you want to have in the background.

About Myself

I am a computer programmer working for the Navy in federal civil service; at the moment, I'm working at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where among my other duties I manage the Center's website.

Among my hobbies are playing air combat simulations and poking around with computer graphics; these two hobbies each have their own section among these pages. Enjoy.

About this website

The graphics on these pages were created or at least manipulated with Paint Shop Pro. The pages themselves utilize a frame layout; while this complicates bookmarking of pages, I find that it simplifies site navigation. On NMCSD's website, I have incorporated a number of mechanisms for working around this complication, and am working on another, but I don't have to do that here. Both Warbirds and Paint Shop Pro are graphics-intensive subjects; the graphics are an integral part of the content, and I'm willing to let downward compatibility to text-mode browsers slide -- both because of that graphical content and because I don't think I can persuade my ISP to install my CGI scripts on their server.
