Quartermaster
Award

The Quartermaster Award is the highest award in
Sea Scouting and is as prestigious as the Eagle Award. It represents fulfillment. It
results from a Sea Scout's determination to reach a goal he or she has set and achieved in
spite of difficulties along the way.
The Quartermaster Award is a badge of color, beauty, and symbolism, but most of all, of
challenge, awaiting every Sea Scout who has the determination to achieve excellence.
The National Sea Scouting Committee has redesigned the Quartermaster Award medal, adding a
double carrick bend from which a high quality, admiralty blue ribbon is suspended. The
medal, along with the lapel pin and a new pendant charm, have been re-struck from new,
sharply detailed dies in sterling silver.
