David,
my
partner and my life, thank you for believing in me and for always being
with me through the hard times and the wonderful alike. I can't
imagine living the rest of my life without you.
To my
parents,
Robert and Bertha Sutliff, thank you for instilling in me the drive to
continue forward. Mom, you have become an incredible writer in
your
own right, and have always been my personal confidante, never judging,
always patient. Dad, your silent strength has always been a
guiding
light through every storm I've ever traveled through. Without you
both, I would be nothing today. To Jason, my brother and life long best friend, thank you for helping me expand my imagination and for being my little bro. You helped me develop my imagination, gave me the insight into never explored possibilities, and "whipped the ass" of any who stood in my way, and then gave me three of the greatest little nephews any uncle could ever dream of. I love you little brother. To
all of my
grandparents, Ocena Sutliff, and Gene and Louise Huber--you spoiled me
when I needed it the most. You made me believe in
impossibilities,
and you gave me the courage to reach for my imagination. For all
of that, I am eternally thankful. To
Susan, my friend and confidant--you have a unique way of seeing
the world and you are a wonderful "sounding board" for me to bounce the
many ideas that cross my mind off of. You have come so far in
your own stain glass painting and will only continue to get
better. You've been wonderful. To
Dee, a friend all the way back to my college days and beyond,
thank you for always being there, for the many phone conversations, and
for all of the laughs. You could never be replaced. To
Brent and Linda--our friends, mentors, and our family.
Regardless of the miles seperating us now, you are still always there
for us when you're needed as well as all the times when even though
you're not needed--you're still there for all the small and quiet times
in between. Linda, you will never fully know how
much I appreciate and thank you for helping and discussing so many
different aspects of things only you and I can truly know and
appreciate and I feel so fortunate to have you there. To Sister Benedict Marie--although you've left our world and joined the next, your memory will always be alive and strong. Your dedication and perseverance lives on through each and every life you ever touched. The patience and dedication you instilled in me to never ever give up no matter the odds. You shaped my personality more than anyone will ever know. You gave the valiant fight in your own life--I only pray I maintain the courage and wisdom in life you tried so patiently to teach me. To the many teachers and professors I have known over the years of my education--I would be nowhere today without you in my life from yesterday. To the many authors whom I've read over the many years and strived to equal: McCammon, Sagan, Druyan, Card, Orwell, David, Freidman, Taylor, Duane, Carey, McCaffrey, Bear, Bova, Twain, Hellman, Bradburry, Warren, Shakespear, Dante, Dickens and the myriad other authors both new and old--you instill a drive for excellence that only the best of us hope to match. And
last, but
never least, thanks to all of you, my readers. Without you, none
of this would be worth the effort. -oOo-
