1992 "Back to the Beach Bike Tour" Rider # 5079
Back in the old days, the San Diego and Orange County Chapters of the National M.S. Society held their own separate MS 150 rides. In 1992 they planned both rides to be on the same weekend and to run opposite directions along the same route. Saturday night both groups were together for the festivities at the San Mateo Campground in Carlsbad.
Saturday after lunch I followed the wrong signs, riding back towards where I started in Orange County. Back in those days, the ride was in Kilometers, so a few people pledged by the km instead of a fixed amout.
Unfortunately (for him), a very generous person pledged by the mile. Thanks AGAIN!
