The following foods are toxic/ harmful to dogs and should never be fed:

Chocolate

Onions (many baby foods contain onion powder- read labels)

Xylitol (in many gums and sugar-free candies and other items)

Macadamia nuts

Raw potatoes

Large quantities of garlic

Raw bread dough

Raisins

Grapes

Mushrooms

Coffee or tea

Alcoholic beverages

Apple seeds (flesh is fine)

Pear/plum/peach/apricot cores (the flesh is fine)

Avocado

Tomato leaves and stems

Large amounts of broccoli

Cooked chicken bones or other cooked poultry bones

Cooked fat trimmings (can cause pancreatitis)

Large amounts of liver- can cause vitamin A or copper toxicity
