SPIRITUALITY

“It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else. I do not believe we can preach the gospel, if we do not preach justification by faith, without works; nor unless we preach the sovereignty of God in His dispensation of grace; nor unless we exalt the electing, unchangeable, eternal, immutable, conquering love of Jehovah; nor do I think we can preach the gospel, unless we base it upon the special and particular redemption of His elect and chosen people which Christ wrought out upon the cross; nor can I comprehend a gospel which lets saints fall away after they are called, and suffers the children of God to be burned in the fires of damnation after having once believed in Jesus. Such a gospel I abhor.”
-- Charles H. Spurgeon

I, being Stegokitty, am a Christian -- a member of a Reformed church, the Presbyterian Church in America. We believe the Holy Bible, being the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God; that it is the only rule to direct us how to know, to worship and to glorify the only true God. The doctrines of the Word of God, being the Christian standards, are explained and codified in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms; and the government of the church is set forth in the Scriptures, and explained and codified in The Book of Church Order. This, we believe, is the faith once delivered to the saints -- as taught by the Apostles, empowered by the Holy Spirit, by commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father who is forever blessed -- Amen.

The first three links above, to the aforementioned Christian documents may be found conveniently at The Center for Reformed Theology and Apologetics. The link to The Book of Church Order is from the Center for the Advancement of Paleo Orthodoxy. There is a tremendous amount of good reading on these websites. It is my firm belief that every Christian, if they are able, should at least memorize the Westminster Shorter Catechism, and certainly read, study, and consider the Larger Catechism and the Westminster Confession of Faith. The Book of Church Order is the form of government for the Presbyterian Church in America, and is in accordance to the Biblical standards, and should be considered as a role model for any evangelical church.

This is the link to my church.

I spend a bit of time in the Second Life virtual world, ministering along with some other Christians, to the confused, hurting, and lost SL'rs.
This is a promotional video I made for the original ministry I became involved with. Strangely enough, shortly after production of the video, this particular "sim" was closed. We are in the midst of a renewing of our ministry to SL, and the Lord knows how it will go. We are trusting in him.
