:: CSBowling Clinic Document: Versatility ::
Your success on the lanes depends upon your ability to take full advantage of the lane condition you are bowling on. When conditions aren't workable with your "A" game, you need the versatility in your game if you hope to stay in the match.

Some players overpower the lanes. Others rely on their ability to hit a single board shot after shot. The ability to do both is most important.

Sometimes theres advantage to use a power game and hook the ball. But the real advantage is being able to play the lanes the way they need to be played.

Learning the power game is easier learning as a child than a first time adult trying.

Keep in mind that trying to play a power game will not work on all conditions. When needed, go straight down the boards. Whatever the condition calls for. Having versatility is the key to winning the match.
