:: CSBowling Clinic Document: Lanes to Dry for You? ::
Are the lanes to dry for you? Well in this article, we will tell you how to get your ball to the pocket, instead of the ball coming across to brooklyn.

To start, lets say you are a out-and-in bowler(stand left, throw the ball to the right and comes back up, for right handers). First thing you could try is moving 3 or more boards to the left. If that still dosn't solve the problem, Step up about half of your foot or more(however much you need). Another thing you could do is get more speed on the ball or just don't hook the ball as much. Maybe just a little flip in the ball should get it to the pocket.

Now, if you are a down-and-in bowler like Norm Duke for example(stand right, release the ball and it goes straight then flips up to the pocket). You might want to try a out-and-in ball, if you dont want to do that, then you still have options. Step up as much as you need, get more speed on the ball, and/or take some hook off the ball. This should get it to the pocket beautifully.

Always use your lowest hooking ball if the lanes are bone dry. If you only have a small arsenal, and dont have any polished balls, I suggest taking which ever ball you want to use, and wet sand it up to 1500 grit, then throw some polish on it. This will help the ball to roll longer.

There arent to many steps to explain how to do this, that's the reason for this clinic being so short. This should help with the dry lanes conditions that might be bowling on.
