:: News: Bowling a Future High School Varsity Sport ::
Football, Basketball, Baseball, etc... All varsity sports at high schools in America. What about the #1 most organized sport in the world; bowling? Why not have it has a varsity sport, since theres no age limit, no certain gender, and no size limits. Why is it still not a varsity sport??

High School Bowling USA is a organization thats goal is for bowling to become a varisty level sport in all high schools. High School Bowling USA is an industry-wide strategic initiative between the Bowling Proprietors Association of America, the American Bowling Congress, the Women's International Bowling Congress and the Young American Bowling Alliance.

So far, HSB has eight states that have bowling a varisty level sport at high schools. These states are Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa (2003-2004), Nevada, New York, New Jersey, and Tennessee. And Alaska, and Washington at only a female varisty sport. Leaving all other states with rather bowling clubs, or just plain "no bowling at all". Hopefully all 50 states will make bowling a varsity lettered sport. Since eight states have male and female varsity bowling, and two with just female varsity bowling; this should make a impression on all of the other 40 states to make bowling a varisty sport.
