Synthetic lanes share there pros and cons with wooden. For example, on wooden lanes, some of the oil will absord into the lanes, however, on synthetic, the oil will just move down. The same applys to wooden, but most oil will just be sucked in the lane. So less oil will be moving down. If it improves your game, or just makes you bowl worse all depends on you and the oil pattern they have out there. But most condistions(espically AMF), the lanes seem to have strong backends(in our local AMF houses). Causing me to move up a lot or putting more speed on the ball. Or you could find where the oil is, and throw it down that line. Whatever works. I suggest to get use to these lane types. Because 95% of houses are moving to synthetic lanes simply because of less maintainence and its cheaper. Maybe get on a league at a synthetic center, which im sure there shouldnt be a problem finding one of those. What does further technology hold for us? Will it improve or just scar the bowling community? Suprizingly, it's both. Story by: Channel Surfers Bowling |
