Channel Surfers Bowling

My first day in Junior League at 15 years old and no experience with this game of bowling left me reeling... I learned the basics and finally hit the dead head pin with the 4-7-10 split. There was an alley pro giving advise but I had lined up just before she got to me and my split. I lined up a straight shot down the extreme left board and let it go as straight as I could, and it took the 4 pin right into the 10 and I got my spare. I've been trying to get that spare the "right" way ever since.
