ADMISSION
St. Francis of Assisi School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin and accords to all students the same rights, privileges, programs and activities.
All new students upon registration are required to have a birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if Catholic) and required records of immunization.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
Requirements for Pre-Kindergarten:
Children must be 3 1/2 years old by the first day of the enrolling school
year. Pre-Kindergarten students must be toilet-trained by the time of entrance into school.
A full-day Pre-K program is available as well as 1/2 day programs.
KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
In compliance with new state regulations effective 2004, students must be
5 years old by September 1st to be eligible for kindergarten. St.
Francis offers a full-day kindergarten including before and after school
care if necessary. In addition to the academics in their classroom,
kindergarten students also receive education in art, computer technology, library
skills, music and physical education. They participate in all
liturgical celebrations with the older students.
ALL OTHER GRADES
Admission to grades 1-8 is based on the student's prior academic record and an interview by the principal.
TUITION/FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
Tuition is established yearly by the pastor and the principal. This recommendation is presented to the school board for their review and approval. Final approval is the decision of the pastor. In accordance with Diocesan Policy 128 (b) -E, two tuition rates apply. St. Francis of Assisi School also provides families with three options for
tuition payment. STUDENTS REGISTERED AT SAINT WILLIAM PARISH
MAY RECEIVE THE IN PARISH RATE AT SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI SCHOOL.
Financial aid is available through local parishes and the Diocese of Providence through
Facts Management Tuition Aid. To be considered for financial aid, parents must apply through the
FACTS Tuition Aid Program. Forms are available from the school office during the month of January. Financial grants are awarded during the spring and summer months for the following academic year.
