PARENT UPDATES

Medication - School personnel are not allowed to dispense medications, except Epi-pens.  Only an adult family member or registered school nurse may administer medication on school property.

Parent volunteers needed: dads who can provide a helping hand are asked to be on standby to assist the principal with occasional building and grounds needs. Also, any parent able to assist with lunchtime supervision is asked to contact Diane Cedrone.  Children in grades K-3 have lunch from 12:30-1:00 and students in grades 4-8 have lunch from 12:10-12:40. Every person who wishes to volunteer in the school or to participate on field trips must fill out a disclaimer form to have a BCI check.

Parishioner -vs- Non-parishioner tuition rates: parishioner rates are for those families belonging to either St. Francis of Assisi or St. William church.  Each family must contribute a minimum of $400 per year through budget envelopes.  Prior to the beginning of the 2006-07 school year, the finance committee will review the status of each family to determine which families fall into the parishioner category.  After this review, tuition rates will be set for each family.

RECYCLING PROGRAM The recycling program is going strong.  Please send in your old cell phones and ink jet cartridges.  The school will receive points to redeem in a rewards catalog from the Funding Factory. Presently over $400 cash or 800 points have accumulated through your generosity!   See the fundraising page for more information

SCHOOL ARRIVAL TIMES: All students should be at school no later than 8:45AM.  Any student arriving to school later than 8:50AM must stop by the office for a late slip. Students arriving prior to 8:35 will be charged for morning day care.

Parent e-mail addresses: Some parents have expressed an interest in receiving e-mail at work instead of at home, mostly for the timeliness of receiving the message.  If you would like to have your work e-mail on file, please contact the school office.

Sunshine Committee: If there is an event in a family (birth, illness, death) which should be acknowledged by the school community, please contact the school office.  The sunshine committee would like to offer support by the way of birth announcements, prayer intentions or a spiritual bouquet.
