Lung Nodules    Update 7/31/02
Ben has several lung nodules, most are in the right lung.  The images below are a cross-section of the body, chest up as if you were looking from the foot of a bed.  The right lung is on the left side of each individual panel.  I have artificially colored some of the lesions yellow in the right images.  The left image is the 'raw' image.

We are concerned that, if these lesions continue to progress, Ben will have lung problems.  The lesions eventually cause a kind of fibrosis of the lungs.  LCH of the lung is considered an Interstitial Lung Disease, we have no reason to believe that JXG would be any different.  This link explains what Interstitial Lung Disease is and what its impact is.
