We would like to encourage everyone who works at a company that participates in United Way or the Federal Government's Combined Federal Campaign to donate to the Histiocytosis Association of America. These diseases are so under-funded that even small donations can make a very large impact. Almost all of the HAA funding comes from families of patients with histiocytosis and almost all the much needed research is funded by the HAA. Please pass this information on to your close friends and families. We are indebted to the HAA.
- Obtain a Donor Choice/Donor Option form from your employer or from your United Way representative. This form is different from the standard handout. We know this process is a lot of extra work on your part - please do not give up because of this difficulty. Call us - we are more than willing to help. If your local United Way does not offer the Donor Choice/Option Program you may still be able to get your donation to the Histiocytosis Association through a second United Way Agency. For instructions, please call the Association Office at 1-800-548-2758. For Arizona you can use the code 1017.
- On the Donor Choice/Donor Option card, specify that you want to direct your gift to the: Histiocytosis Association of America · 72 E. Holly Ave., Suite 101, Pitman, NJ 08071
- Indicate on your form that you wish to receive an acknowledgment from the Histiocytosis Association. When you receive the acknowledgment, you will know that the Association has received your donation. Please be aware that it may take up to nine months for the Association to receive funds from a United Way office.
- Return your Donor Choice/Option form and company pledge cards as instructed by your employer.

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the annual fund raising drive conducted by Federal Government employees in their workplace. Each fall Federal employees and military personnel raise millions of dollars through the CFC that benefits thousands of non-profit charities.The Histiocytosis Association's CFC number is 1322. If you participate in the CFC Campaign, simply note this number when filling out your campaign card. If you don't work for the Federal Government or the military, perhaps you know someone who does that would like to participate in the Campaign.
