Mission

The Giving Circle of HOPE helps people in need in Northern Virginia by issuing annual grants and participating in ongoing & one-time service projects.

Goals

  • make a difference in the community by contributing time, talents and monetary resources

  • encourage community among ourselves and those we serve

  • increase public awareness of local needs

  • encourage self sufficiency and well-being among those in need

  • promote volunteerism and effective philanthropy

  • build a network that is a catalyst for positive change

What is a Giving Circle?

Giving circles are a new trend in philanthropy. Like an investment club, members combine their resources and collectively decide how to use them to impact a specific cause or interest area.  By joining with like-minded individuals, there is greater power to create change and make a meaningful difference in the community.
