My name is Stu and it all started innocently enough by pocketing a few $1 chips from a Las Vegas trip to keep for souvenirs and then it quickly turned into a full blown collecting hobby (obsession?).
I quickly learned that there are thousands of chip collectors and some have chip collections that total thousands of chips that are worth thousands of dollars and that's just the Las Vegas area. In order to have a hobby with realistic goals and some organization, I needed to focus my collection and define my collecting goals.
Since the Atlantic City area is the closest gaming area, that is where most of my current attention is focused.
My collecting goals are therefore very simple:
1) To obtain via acquisition or trading a comprehensive set of every $1 and $5 casino chip ever created for the Atlantic City area including all casinos that currently exist or that have ever existed in the Atlantic City area. Revised 1/1/05: I will only collect AC Limited edition chips for casinos that no longer exist.
2) To obtain via acquisition or trading a single $1 chip from every existing land based table game casino in the United States (see the "Casino Stats" page)
3) With some exceptions for the Atlantic City collection, my general collection will be comprised only of $1 chips that are (or were) being currently used in actual casino play. I will not collect coins, roulettes, "fun" chips, limited editions, collector items, fractionals, souvenir chips, or other casino items, etc.
I can't imagine ever reaching the goals stated in 1 or 2 above. However, I am certainly going to try :)
This site is organized by geographical location to show my entire collection. There are also pages for chips that I am currently looking for and chips that I have available for sale or trade, some gaming and fun pages, and finally a links page to some helpful sites.

Casino gaming is an entertainment activity. Just as you don't expect to get back the money you pay for concert tickets or a sporting event, you should not expect to get back any money that is wagered. Always bet with your head and not over it.
