![]() George Strait -- One Step At A Time George Strait is one of the few artists where you can not go wrong about buying the album, every album he puts out is better than the previous. The first release off One Step At A Time was I Just Want To Dance With You (track #1). George performed this songs on the 1998 ACM Awards last month and shocked everyone when he actually played his guitar (such as in the video for The Chair George usually stands on stage and just holds his guitar). There is a wide variety of songs on this album, as there usually is with George Strait. One of the more unusual songs is We Really Shouldn't Be Doing This (track #6) which sounds like an old Elvis song, both in the style of music and George's signing. Why Not Now (track #7) sounds a lot like Clint Black's One Emotion as for the use of the electric guitar. The radio stations are saying this is going to be the wedding (or proposal) song this summer. A couple of my favorites are Maria (track #5), where George plays a Mexican style on the guitar. Remember The Alamo this is easily another "anniversary" song about recalling how the couple met and proposed. Neon Row (track #9) a song about lonely women going down to Neon Row (honky-tonks) to may be meet the perfect guy. Again, you can not go wrong with this album, all ten tracks are great. We should start seeing George picking up some awards this fall at the CMA's for this album. Next month, I will review the ACM's Top New Male Vocalist, Kenny Chesney's new album, I Will Stand.
