Picacho Cow Plate
- I picked this up at a Truck
Stop with a gift shop and Dairy Queen on I-10 outside of Picacho Peak State Park
in Arizona (between Casa Grande and Tucson).
- This really jumped out at
me when I was looking through the gift shop.
- It reminds me of what the
Southeast Valley of Arizona (Chandler and Gilbert) looked like when I
moved to Arizona in
1993. It is very unfortunate that so much farm land has been
lost in the last 10+ years to record growth and building all over the
Phoenix Metro Area. Even dairy's and feedlots are becoming
far and few between as they sell out to or forced out my new
development. One thing I can't understand about people out
here is how they can complain about the odors of these dairy's and
feedlots when they chose to have their house built
within a few hundred yards of these. It is not like
they appeared over night, the cows (along with their aromas) were there
when they went to have their houses built.
- The base has sparkles
suspend in fluid within the glass orb (sort like the old snow globes).
