The Sun Country Gordon Setter Club was organized in 1982
for the purpose of providing a point of contact for a growing group of Gordon
Setter fanciers, and to promote match and show competition in the central
Arizona area.The popularity of the Gordon Setter in Arizona and the
Southwest has been growing steadily in the past 2 decades, as evidenced by the
frequency of major entries at all-breed shows. As a regional chapter of
the Gordon Setter Club of America, Sun Country held our first independent
specialty show in October of 1992. Now held in spring, it has become and
annual event the day before the Cactus Cluster of All-Breed Shows.
Our small, but dedicated group seeks to educate the public
about Gordon Setters, promote match and show competition, and support its small,
but dedicated membership who share the love of the breed.
