On Friday we watched the Billabong Odyssey and a few of the surfers had some funny nicknames like "Flea", "Gerr", and "SkinDog". Therefore we decided that we ought to start using nicknames and maybe just maybe we'll become as good as them. So here's what we've got so far:
Rogelio "Kabuki" Gonzalez - Tons of sunblock makes for a white face & stinging eyes =)
Editha "Pancake" Quimbao - For all the gnarly wipe-outs she's gone through... oh the horror.
"Magic" Mike Beltrano - If you haven't seen his magic tricks you're in for a real treat. Also this is where the term "Mike-neck" comes from since it often looks like he switched heads with somebody. Now he's just gotta' work on making waves appear. -"Man I forgot to use sunblock! Do I have a "Mike-neck" now?"
Cecile "Fat Lip" Aparis - For the busted lip that required a plastic surgeon to fix. No more injuries please.
Noe Flores aka "Tom" - Just like the cartoon cat.
Victoria Martinez "J" - after the uncatchable mouse.
Fred "Moneybags" del Rosario - We know you've got some -Still waiting for you to buy us dinner ;)
Paul "MoonDoggie" Martinez - He came up with his own but it's a keeper.
Jenna "Jameson" Miller- Ha Ha! Even though we do know you work hard for a living ;)
Aron "Dirty" Sanchez - Just 'cause you are. What else do you call the guy who aspires to teach a college class called "GYM-Nasty" ?!!
Sergio "Latino Heat" Lopez - It's so fitting; especially after the incident with Cecile & Editha calling your wife. Oops!
Now there's still hope for those of you who don't like your nicknames. These nicknames just seem to keep evolving as we get to know you more. For instance check out these:
Vince Woolridge "The Big Kahuna". But for some reason you remind me of "Punchy" the Hawaiian Punch guy. You even have the super-long surfboard.
Sergio Garcia "Chango". You'll always be a monkey but Dirty Sanchez says we should call you "Stinkbug" because you've got that bent-over, wide-a$$ stance (butt in the air) that makes you only go right.
Knute "Crocodile Smile" Knudtson - Vote is "L&L" fits you better than me. Now there's some Luscious Locks.
Artemisa Rivas "Hello Kitty" or "Foxy". I know you don't like either but I'm sure Dirty Sanchez would be happy calling you "DeeDee" =O reply from Art:DeeDee? It's just Dee! No wonder they call you Dirty Sanchez!
For those of you who don't yet have a nickname posted, we'll get to you soon enough. For now we'll just call you "Kook" Ha Ha!!! Hope you enoyed this update. See you in the water. ~"Ace" Allan
