This is an excellent rare late 
19th century African wood 
carving. Beautifully done with 
some added pigment to the 
surface. It is in fine condition 
with a few small cracks in the 
wood and one area where a 
small wood knot has fallen out 
over the years. This work is 
from the Malkin collection. It is 
25" t and 4" round at the base.
