Old Gear List
This is a list of synths and keyboards I've owned at one time or
another.
- Korg MS 10 a great little patchable mono synth my first.
- Hammond Cadet chopped it down, looked pretty cool stacked on top
of a Fender Rhoades.
- Fender Rhoades 73 Stage Piano II
- Farfisa Compact the ultimate in cheese organ.
- Korg Polysix my first programmable polyphonic, great sound, SSM
filters.
- Arp Odyssey II black & gold version, great for leads &
bass.
- Arp Omni II string synth sounded great especially with a phase
shifter.
- Crumar Performer I liked the strings on this better than the Omni
II.
- Yamaha CS5 mono synth
- Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 3.3, great fat poly still wish
I'd never sold it.
- Sequential Circuits Prophet Remote used to use it on a couple
of songs.
- Roland Jupiter 8 still have it always will.
- Roland Jupiter 6 brighter sound than the
Jupiter 8 a little more harsh.
- Roland SH-101 love the compactness of this synth, will probably
get another one sometime.
- Moog Minimoog I'm on my third one, a must have synth for bass.
- Roland MP 600 Piano this replaced the Fender Rhoades for me great
with a Boss chorus pedal.
- Moog Source picked it up on a trade for a Minimoog that wouldn't
stay in tune. Great for live.
- Sequential Circuits Pro One an amazing mono very flexible routing.
- Yamaha DX7 replaced the MP 600 to cover piano sounds man I had
a great grand piano patch.
- Emu Emulator II was the center of my live and studio rig for many
years.
- Sequential Circuits Drumtraks did the drummer less group thing
for several years.
- JL Cooper Midi Disk picked this up to use with the Drumtraks to
be able to play live.
- Yamaha TX 81Z great little four operator FM module.
- Yamaha TX 416 I actually have a Standards Products rack from San
Francisco. Anybody remember those?
- Korg 01/Wfd still a great workstation today and a great controller
for live with it's 8 assignable zones.
- Kurzweil K2000 what incredible clarity, versatility and power.
- Sequential Circuits Prophet T8 best action of any synth ever.
Love to control a piano patch from it.
- Korg Wavestation EX a synth you could lose yourself in, love the
sound and the ability to sweep using the joystick.
- Oberheim DPX 1 got it to replace the Emulator II for live. Seemed
duller than the EII though.
- Kurzweil K2VXS replaced the K2000 with this, it's command central
for my studio.
- Yamaha KX 76 a nice midi controller nice synth action keyboard.
- Emu Vintage Keys Plus lots of vintage analog sounds great for
layering.
- Peavey DPM V3 very fat I'll use this for bass quite abit especially
layered with the TX 416.
- Korg Wavestation A/D replaced the Wavestation EX with this.
- Oberheim OB-8 probably the most versatile of the OB series, great
sound and capable of producing warm and harsh tones. I can get alot of the same sounds
as my old Prophet 5 from this.
- Alesis Andromeda A6 an amazingly flexible analog synth can sound
similar to many of the old analogs.
- Moog Minimoog Voyager without a doubt the only successor to the
Minimoog but alot more versatile.
