Tim Paulson recently founded Surgical Care America to offer physicians an alternative to the heavy handed tactics of Big Corporations. Tim brings over eighteen years of experience in the development, management and operation of ambulatory surgery centers.

As a former surgery center administer and business manager, he has gained invaluable "hands on" experience in the day-to-day operations of a successful surgery center. As Vice President of Operations for Columbia/HCA, Tim had operational responsibility for eleven surgery centers in California.  While moving up the ranks, Tim learned first hand, every facet of the surgery center business both as a manager and as a healthcare executive. 

Among his more noteworthy accomplishments have been the successful development, syndication and opening of several new surgery centers in the Southern California area; implementation of quality programs which resulted in 100% center accreditation; negotiation of significant multi-facility managed care contracts; and a 12% increase in caseload growth through partnership sales, contract negotiations and physician sales programs.

Mr. Paulson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas with a focus on finance and personnel management. He has attended a number of educational courses/seminars specializing on current AAAHC and Medicare standards, leadership, and marketing.
