As part of the "cook-up" Albatros project for the WW1 Modeler's email list, my choice is Ltn. Viktor Schobinger's D.V of Jasta 12, serial unknown.
What's this? Progress after three years? Say it isn't so! Here's where the
Eduard 1/72nd Albatros D.V finally stands.
Here is
Bob Pearson's
profile of Shobinger's D.V.
One item with Bob's image that is questionable is the oblong stripe on the side. Bob shows it as white in his profile, while Shobinger himself indicates it was the same color as the underside of the wings - which is the same color as the interplane struts. One of those artist's interpretations, and Dicta Ira definitely applies.
Here are two 3-D renderings of Shobinger's D.V as provided
by Mark Miller.

The following are images of Shobinger's D.Vs. In the Jasta 12 line up, his are the first two machines. Looking at the second, close-up photo, the one farthest from the camera has the camouflaged wings, while the one closest to the camera has five-color lozenge on its wings. The last photo is of Shobinger in his camo'ed D.V (thanks to Stef Karver for these images).
