THIS BUS COULD BE YOURS!!
(To drive that is. Let us know if you're interested in driving for Team Angry)
Team Angry, the team destined to ride hard and party long, is geared up and ready to ride RAGBRAI XXXI. Team Angry was formed in 1995 as a "social" team with the
intent of spreading good will throughout Iowa.
The Register's picked a great route for 2003. Check out this year's overnights (now available) and ride info at the Des Moines
Register's RAGBRAI page.
The most frequently asked question of our team is "so why are you guys angry?" Let's
clear this issue up once and for all. We're not angry. We simply decided 5 years ago
to name our team after our favorite RAGBRAI feature. Maybe the following definition
will shed some light on the subject.
Angry \'an-gre\ adj angri-er ; -est 1 a : feeling or showing anger 2 : painfully inflamed
(an angry rash) n 1 : Uncontrollable, unavoidable and predominant female feature in
cold weather or when subjected to frigid situations
Words of Wisdom
A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is
hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole groups keeps improving by regular culling of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain
cell. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.
