" The Boat "
Geronimo began life as a " SeaWind " model KYOSHO RC
kit.
As a member of the SCOA and the
AMYA, Geronimo
was built according to the current
rules laid down and set
forth by the above mentioned
groups. This is so Geronimo
can be raced in all Seawind AMYA
sanctioned events.
The name and paint scheme have been
taken from the movie
" Wind ", which our skipper, { Dennis Cross },
happens to love!
At first when deciding on
what name to chose the skipper wanted
to use " Stars and
Strips ", the boats used by Dennis Conner,
{ that other famous skipper named Dennis
;-)
}, but there
was already someone in the ACMSC
using that boat name and paint
scheme. Not wanting to
duplicate a name already in use an alternate
name was needed. That's when
the movie " Wind " popped up in
the skippers mind.
