database developer
- Configured AspenTech Historian Systems including redundant interfaces to production process, role-based security, 21CFR11-compliance-enabled monitoring, Batch analysis, SQL Server and Oracle instance configuration, and HP OpenView system monitoring.
- Developed/tested key components in a TQM Production System, including Real-Time Data, Hot Buttons, Pre-Weigh/Pre-Stage, Hopper Loading, Milling, Maintenance Batches, and the Database Interface. This component development included the creation of SQL Server 2000 views, stored procedures, and client-based queries. InfoPlus.21 real-time data was accessed via an OLE DB provider.
- Implemented wide array of complex Crystal Reports at customer site combining InfoPlus.21 real-time data and SQL Server 2000 relational data. Report features included drill-down, conditional formatting, multiple sections, sub-reports, complex formulas with control structures, parameter fields, and data from Crystal S QL Designer based SQL queries. Work included performance tuning and the implementation of logic to accommodate a wide range of customer data formats.
- Set up InfoPlus.21 real time database as linked server through OLE DB provider in SQL Server database. This enabled a production application to access both databases as a SQL Server ODBC data source.
- Created SQL Server version of customer legacy Production Database using Oracle SQL Scripts. Using “Reverse Engineering” feature in Visio, created ERD model and Table Report of SQL Server database. Developed Excel Workbooks to track data migration from legacy to new Production Database.
- Proposed, designed, and implemented a MS Access Master Database tool to track facility status during the transition from an existing Distributed Control System to a new system. Developed VB application to automate reconfiguration of data exchange interfaces between new/legacy control systems and data historian. Provided documentation and training to customer and ABB on-site personnel. Database facilitated and expedited transition process.
- Created Access Proposal Database to track proposal activities. Developed forms/queries/reports to facilitate entry of status data and provide proposal status to proposal engineers and internal customers.
- Developed Access database to track project status. Database provided assignment of task priorities, responsible parties, ongoing status updates, and automated progress reports. Database improved and facilitated tracking of critical tasks and project issues.
- Developed Access status database and MS Project schedules for tracking of performance calculation tasks. The database/schedules facilitated planning/tracking of complex array of tasks involving several engineers from different AspenTech offices. These accomplishments contributed substantially to project success ($0.75 M in performance bonus revenues) and customer satisfaction.
- Created MS Access/VBA database applications incorporating pivot tables to track program activities and provide custom data summaries for grant reporting.
