Graphic Design
Tessellations owner Robert Fathauer is available for custom graphic design work. He possesses a unique blend of mathematics and artistic capabilities. Some examples of his graphic work follow.
- Escher-like tessellations, including metamorphoses - An example is shown of a "sketch" of a Vespa/Superbike metamorphosis done for a New York ad agency. Also shown in a runner metamorphosis commissioned for the 2004 Chicago Marathon.

- Fractal tessellations - A print depicting bats and owls is shown. In addition, two examples are shown of over 100 original geometric fractal tessellations.

- Fractal knots - A design is shown that contains an infinite collection of smaller and smaller knots.
- Two-way faces - A print is shown that incorporates a face that appears right-side up viewed either way. Also shown is a Tessellations puzzle that forms hundreds of different two-way faces.

- Impossible figures - A sketch of an impossible aqueduct is shown.

These sorts of designs can play an effective role in a variety of applications, including:
- Print ads
- Web graphics and animations
- Logos
- Promotionals, such as inexpensive puzzles
- Invitations
- T-shirt graphics
