The
barrel man theme derives from somewhere in the Philippines when pinoys
needed to find a way to make some money. Thus, they created the idea
of selling naked men to American visitors. Oddly enough, the
popularity of the barrel man has grown to the point where the probability
of encountering a barrel man is in one's favor.
Each barrel man consists of
wooden framework carved by hand in the Philippines. A man stands on
a platform with one huge grin on his face as he stands in bare bone within
the reminiscent barrel. A curious tourist sees the contraption.
Then the tourist reaches for this contraption in awe, not knowing of the
horror or the laughter that the wooden man (hehe) will produce.
Instantly, the flinging occurs. End of story...
