I had a chance to try out a Blues Box 1x12 tweed combo recently and was blown away!! This amp was only rated at 10 watts and was loud enough for me to play with band with the amps volume turned up half way and the best part (since I play clean with no distortion) NO BREAK UP!! Loads of head room! I played my Melancon Classic Artist straight into the amp via a George L cable. Tone was warm
with some punch with out getting dirty,
I can't wait to get another chance to plug up to another Blues Box amp.
From The Blues Box: He tried this amp live on stage before even getting a preliminary sound check right off the cuff and loved it on the fly! This particular tweed model was fixed with a higher wattage speaker giving it more headroom and less early break up making it ideal for guitar use. Later versions made built for early break up for use with blues harp.
*Well, I just wanted to let you know that I got the 5F1 amp and wow, what can I say? It's beautiful as it is! It looks like it's 50 years old and it sounds fantastic! I'm blown away by this little thing! And yes, it is loud but not too much, I can still crank it up to get some dirt on my tone and not make the whole house rumble....
I will be posting the review and a post on HC soon, hopefully some recordings as well, but I just wanted to let you know that I love the amp.

* I recieved the amp tonight. I got it together and it is really great. I put a guitar through it as well as a harmonica. I will have to work with it more but this thing gives me a great "Bob Margolin" slide guitar sound. It is got a perfect mojo for slide guitar. It also has a big harmonica sound, bigger than my other amps, plus it looks cool as hell.

*Got it! Perfect condition! Just plugged it in and had to come out and email you - Totally cool!! Sounds way crazy! Going to put it through the paces tomorrow with some pedals up front. You really are the best Bro! No one else puts them together like you and you can quote me on that again and again! As the Governor of California says..."I'll Be Back!!!!!!!!!
