The Informant Manifesto

Freedom of expression is a necessary corollary for the perpetuation of new ideas and the advancement of society as a whole. Indeed, our society is founded on some level of dissent and new modes of thinking. Every day, we are sent forward relentlessly into the future by an influx of new information, and new ways of interpreting previously known facts. This is a universally recognized truth, and it is acknowledged by the United States government that the inalienable right of free expression will benefit not only the individual, but the whole of society. With this in mind, The Informant seeks to contribute to the ever-growing base of human thought through the perpetuation of new modes of thinking, and the further dissemination of some tried and true methods. An informant, the dictionary tells us, is one who informs. An elementary definition, perhaps, but one to which we aspire. It is our sincere hope that this magazine will in some way, no matter how small, both enlighten and entertain our readers.
