I’ve been waiting a long time to get a good picture of the Pileated Woodpecker.  On March 26, 2005, we were leaving Huntley Meadows and saw this guy getting bugs out of a tree.  It was right next to the parking lot, and the image filled the spotting scope.

I use this bird on the logo for my garden railroad.
