First time I saw The Pawn Shop Lifters I thought, "These dudes don’t fuck around…they like what they like, and they’ll play what they wanna play." You can categorize their music all you want, they don’t care, because when The Pawn Shop Lifters play on stage, they're making damn sure they're delivering the "goods" to your ears. But Wendell, Jeff, and Alan have played hundreds of gigs, if not thousands, and like the rest of us, they're getting older. But that isn’t stopping them at all, they're just getting started. Wendell, who writes most of the songs, has a huge selection of new songs ready for people to hear at the upcoming shows. One particular show, taking place on August 28th at 37th & Zen, will be recorded on a soundboard for a possible upcoming album, and The Pawn Shop Lifters are ready to make it happen! I sat down with the guys and asked a few questions.
