This monument dedicated to the Trentini men who worked and died in the coal
mines of Colorado is the only one of it's kind in the United States.
It is in Silverton, Colorado. Placed on the memorial is a Black Eagle from
the Province of Trento and was brought to Silverton by Dr. Paolo Magnotti,
Head of the Press Office of the Regional Government of Trentino-South Tyrol.
In 1339 the King of Bohemia gave the Black Eagle to the Province of Trento.
