Prayer For Our Country's Leadership
Our country is going through some incredible times and we of Christ's faith need to be praying for our country and community's leaders. For the leaders of our churches, the arts, government, medicine, our Armed Forces, the media, technology, education and in commerce.
Times are tough. Our faith is under attack from all sides, so pray hard for men and women to be raised up as wise & righteous leaders in these areas.

As important as our national leaders are, lets not forget to pray for our local community and state leadership as well. These folks need and deserve our prayers too. So what do we pray for. Thats easy, you know your local prayer needs, but here are a few areas you can pray for:
Our Political Leadership
- For just leaders who rule in the fear of God (2 Samuel 23:3)
- Leaders free from covetousness and immorality who do not misuse power, position or possesions. (Deuteronomy 17:16,17)
- Leaders of wisdom with teachable spirits. (Psalm 2:10.11)
- Leaders of mercy and truth (Proverbs 29:4)
- Leaders who are free from bribery, corruption, flattery. (Proverbs 29:14)
- Leaders with a heart for the poor, charitable and compassion. (Proverbs 29:14)
Your Spiritual Leadership (ie: your Pastor & church leadership)
- To protect, unite in love (John 17:11,23)
- Keep from evil. (John 17:15)
- Keep joyful in the center of the will of God. (John 17:13)
- Holy leaders who know God and love His Word; consecrated visionaries. (John 17:17,20)
- Prayerful leaders with loving, obedient hearts. (Luke 22:46)
- For wisdom, understanding and faith. (James 1:5,6)
