Third Day Tithing

Tithing comes in three dimensions. These being revealed in body, soul and spirit.

The word for "tithe" in the Hebrew is mah-as-raw and it mean "a tenth, a tithe." It can be traced back to its root word aw-shar which means "to accumulate, to grow rich."

Personally I believe America will bankroll revival worldwide through our tithes and offerings. Today a new generation of businessmen and women are being raised up under the Melchezedec priesthood and are paving (ie: financing) the way to spread the Gospel. These king priests and others who are also under the Melchezedec annointing will advance His Kingdom to degrees which we have never witnessed before.

Before I go any further Im sure someone will be offended by this teaching. And if you are offended, thats just too bad! This article is intended to bring freedom to they that read this. All I can say is to read this with open eyes and heart, and let the Holy Spirit guide you.

Why do we tithe?

We tithe because we are good stewards. Stewardship is the systematic and proportionate system of giving time, abilities, and material possesions based on the conviction that these are a trust from God. To be used in His service for the benefit of His Kingdom. This is a divine-human partnership with God as the senior partner.

Being a good steward means you tithe with your finances, give of yourself and your posessions/materials for the advancement of His Kingdom here on earth.

What does tithing do for me, or for you? We give to God to advance His Kingdom, what we get in return is His blessings. Our worship goes up, His blessing rain down, our tithes and offerings go up, His blessing rain down. When we tithe we open a window to be blessed. We are blessed ten fold, sixty fold, a hundred fold......

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.....Proverbs 3:9

I dont know about you, but I want to be blessed. (Lord bless me indeed) You give because you love. Its about sowing seed folks. And when my seed matures and bears fruit, I know its going to be heavy and full

First off there are 4 things to remember when tithing. These being that you are:

Systematic: that you give your tithes and offerings when you get paid.
Sacrificial: that you be ready to give more than usual at times.
Spontanious: that you are always be open to the voice of the Holy Ghost.
Spiritual: that you let your principles and motives be Bible-based.

Tithing in the realm of the body!

Tithing in the realm of the body is all about your finances. This is also in the realm of the outer court or 1st day.

Most churches never go beyond this concept. They are used to taking your tithes and paying the bills. We have to fill our churches storehouse and this we do by tithes and offerings. When we tithe and give offerings we pay our pastors salary, we pay the electric bill for our church, we fund "help" ministries, and the list goes on.. Without tithes and offerings your church would wither on the vine.

1. We give according to our ability or income.

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.....Deuteronomy 16:17

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.....Proverbs 3:9

Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, [even] a tenth part of the tithe.....Numbers 18:26

Believe me, there are numerous scriptures that covers the 10% law that I wont add in here. Personally I dont believe in tithing 10%. Deuteronomy 16:17 and 2nd Corinthians 9:7 tell you to give according to your ability. And since we are under the Spirit (New Covenant) and not the law, nowhere in the New Testament does it give us a specified amount or percentage. I believe we are no longer bound by the old tithing laws of giving 10%. Give what you can cheerfully folks. Ideally we give generously and with liberality. If 5% is all you have, then give that, if you desire to give 10%, give that, if you want to give 30% or more, then give that.

The difference here, is are you a "legal" tither or a "spiritual" tither? (see 2nd Corinthians 8:1-7) Legal givers give because they have to, a spiritual giver gives because they want to. If you love Jesus you will tithe. He will honor and bless you for your offering.

Now, onto the most asked question about tithing... "is it before or after taxes and deductions???" The answer to that is it's off your gross, not your net.

Secondly if your not tithing money, then you offer yourself. Let me make it clear that you still need to give of your finances. But God knows when your down and out and hard pressed for money (see Mark 12:41 "The Widows Two Mites"). He knows your circumstances. Let Him guide you in this. Not guilt or the exhortations of your pastor or church edlers who come knocking at your door demanding your "building pledge" after your hubby has run off leaving you without money and three kids.....

2. We give out of the goodness of our hearts. We give cheerfully.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.....2nd Corinthians 9:7

Again, let me break from tradition here. Just about every church in this country demands ten percent of you. Well scripture is clear that when you give let, "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart." This is not an excuse to be cheap, but you give what you can give and you do so gladly. And dont be guilted into feeling bad, or that God will hold an account against you because today or tomorrow you dont have ten percent.

Its better that you give what you can, that you give it to God cheerfully, and that you ask God to bless you for it. If you can afford it, let 10% be your benchmark where you start giving. If your well to do, then give 15%, 20%, or more.. God loves a cheerful 5% too!

3. We give freely.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.....Matthew 10:8

4. We give with simplicity, sincerity and generosity

Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.....Romans 12

5. Dont be a stingy "giver."

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.....2nd Corinthians 9:6

Tithing in the realm of the soul!

Tithing in the realm of the soul deals with our attitude and mindsets. This is also in the realm of the Holy Place or 2nd day. How do we give? Here we still give tithes. But with justice, mercy and faith. You know what? Never, Never, NEVER have I ever heard this taught in any church I've attended or visited save for one.

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone".....Matthew 23:23

Here Jesus was telling the scribes and Pharisees that tithing wasnt unimportant, but that they were emphasizing one area at the expense of another. It's much easier to give of our finances, than to give justice, mercy and faith. Let us not become preoccuppied with external rules and regulations in the church that we forget the principles behind them....

Keep in mind that 10% is a good start to the New Testament giving of 100%. It take real giving of oneself to lift up another into the way of rightousness.

Tithing in the realm of the spirit!

You are the tithe!

Here as we tithe, we interface with the Most Holy Place and the Melchezedec Priesthood. This is also in the realm of the Most Holy of Holies or the 3rd day. The righteous remnant becomes the tithe, a people who become what they give. It is in the spirit realm where tithes are recieved.

Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.....Isaiah 6:11-13

And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.....Leviticus 27:32

God is looking for a tenth of the tenth. The tithe is holy! This tithe company is holy seed. And the substance within them is Jesus. This company also passes "under the rod." The sceptar of His Kingdom is a rod of righteousness. It is a sheppards staff that governs, guards, and guides. The tithe company is a covenental people. This royal priesthood is a blessing order and recives tithes.......
